Welcome

Local People. Local Solutions.

Gramin Utthan Abhiyan (GUA) is a non-profit organization based in Madhesh Province, Nepal. Since 2054 B.S. (1997), we have worked with communities to improve lives through education, health, women's leadership, livelihood, disaster response, agriculture, social inclusion, and community development.

Gramin Utthan Abhiyan was started by local people who wanted to improve the lives of poor and vulnerable families. Today, we work with local governments, schools, community groups, women, youth, farmers, and development partners.

We believe that every community has the power to solve its own problems. Our role is to support, guide, and walk together with the community.

We listen first.
We work together.
We learn together.
Together, we create lasting change.
